Vintage Gibson TB-3 Mastertone Tenor Banjo 1920's
Brand: Woodsy's Music
This 1920's Gibson TB-3 Mastertone is a pre-war gem. Our inclination tells us this is most likely a late 20's banjo, but because Gibson did not use sequential serial numbers at this time, we are not positive. This instrument includes the specs you would expect to see in a late 20's TB-3 including the two piece tube and plate flange, 40 hole arch top tone ring, Grover Presto tailpiece, Grover pancake tuners, mahogany rim neck and resonator, and rosewood fretboard. Everything on the banjo is original, and shows relatively light wear and tear other than some minor binding separation. The scale length is 23", nut width is 1 5/32" and the head diameter is 11". A very cool addition is the original hangtag is still intact, legible and included. The original hardshell case is included, and in very good condition with a replaced handle.
