Martin HD-28 Semiquincentennial Edition HD-28 Acoustic Guitar
Brand: Martin
The HD-28 Semiquincentennial commemorates 250 years of
American independence—crafted by a company that has been part
of America’s story for nearly 200 years. It features wood from the
legendary Basking Ridge white oak, a 600-year-old tree that stood
through the First Great Awakening and the Revolutionary War.
George Washington’s troops drilled within view of its branches, and
Washington himself is said to have picnicked beneath it with the
Marquis de Lafayette. That historic white oak is incorporated into the
endpiece, heelcap, and Liberty Bell headplate inlay—placing a
tangible piece of Revolutionary-era history in your hands. Its
reclaimed Sitka spruce top showcases custom artwork by Martin Artist
Robert Goetzl. Limited to just 250 guitars, this special edition is built
on the iconic HD-28 platform—celebrating the model’s own 50th
anniversary this year while carrying the legacy of American
independence forward in every note.
