This allows the harden steel bars to resonate and ring more freely - almost as if the bars were floating on air. The the rubber points also makes maintenance and up keep a breeze. Gone are the days of screws, felt, fishing line, or other ring-deadening paraphernalia. The satin-grained bars sit in a solid oak wood case. The rails are completely suspended within the resonance chamber with every contact point covered with either neoprene rubber or 100% wool felt.
