A step up from Novation's Launch series of controllers, the Novation Impulse is a multi-surface keyboard controller designed to be expressive- from every key to every knob. A semi-weighted action with assignable aftertouch gives you control that you don't get from other controllers, and is featured in all 3 sizes (25, 49, and 61 key). Whether you're playnig piano, synth, organ, strings, or even sound effects, Novation's High Rate Scan (HRS) technology scans the Impulse 10,000 times per second, capturing every nuance of what you do.

A control surface that features 8 encoders, 9 faders*, 8 touch sensitive pads, and transport controls guarantees you'll not be missing anything when it comes to making or producing music. With the help of Novation's Automap technology, every knob, fader, and button becomes assignable, and integrates with all major DAW's: Abelton, Logic, and Pro Tools to name a few. In addition to it's studio possibilities, the Impulse features 5-pin MIDI ports for easy connection to synths or modules, making it an easy choice for a gig. Where some controllers are so lightweight you'd think twice about taking it on the road, the Impulse's sturdy frame out shines almost all other controller designs.

Software Compatibility

Ableton Live Lite 9 is included
If you already have Ableton Live it must be version 8 or greater to work with Impulse. We recommend that you update to the latest version as previous versions of Ableton Live do not include the Impulse integration. Impulse will also work as a standard MIDI controller.
